Description:

Small waxwings with red-brown upperparts and paler under. Head has a crest with a black mask.

Notes:

A large flock appeared in the trees near my home on Chebeague Island.

I absolutely love Cedar Waxwings! They are such social birds. The first time I saw them both the birds and myself were gorging on wild blueberries. I even saw them feeding each other. Great photos. Thanks for sharing and reminding me to track down my photos :)
