The most amazing nature scene the "Peninsula" has to offer is in October when the killer whales come up to the shore to feed on seals. It is one of the two places in the world where this behavior has been noted. According to statistics there are only about 20 or so orcas that practice this behavior. However, there will be more as the adults are teaching the next generation!

I've just googled Peninsula Valdes & it looks amazing. I wish I had known about it when we toured Argentine a few years back but I will definitely add it to my 'bucket list'!

Alice and Karen, thanks for your kind words. I can't implore you both enough to make Peninsula Valdes a must go place during your lives. It is so rich in wildlife and cold desert diversity!
