Yellow-breasted Chat

Icteria virens

Description:

This large songbird with the bright yellow throat. Its upperparts are olive gray and belly is white. It is a considered a large warbler.

Notes:

This lonely chat hung around our neighborhood on Chebeague for about a month in the winter and was last seen just before the temperatures went down well below 0º F.

Looking back my pix of the Yellow-breasted Chat in the Central Plains show some clear differences; size, black eyeliner, lighter gray but i'm sure the same crazy now ya see me now ya don't demeanor.

Is that bird on a tomato? Whatever it is it is squished so bad!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
