Description:

A relative of the Coucal, heavy tailed, earthy brown bird with fine black streaks to the feathers. Prominent white tips to the tail feathers and the bright cherry red and yellow stout hooked beak. Moves among trees searching for insects, lizards, fruits and berries. Runs swiftly but a weak flier. Gets down from a tree rapidly, jumping from branch to branch.

Habitat:

Dense forests or scruby places.
