Description:

Bright pink flowers on sparse tree with spiky trunk. The fruit is large and elongated as shown in the third image. The leaves in the first image are from an American Sweetgum Tree. This tree is just beginning to flower and it's fall!

Habitat:

Residential yard in a group of 3 trees.

Ouch...interesting bark.
Bad idea to run thru a dense plantage of these - at dark, I guess :)
