armillaria mellea
when you wouldn't have me , you would find the id's still yourself, but i do it with pleasure!
this is the "real" honey ,mushroom armillaria mellea ---> some eat them ( not my taste ); --->(i had mistake the species with the following information. but i will still write it) - the un-"real honey mushroom A. solidipes is the biggest fungi on the planet-so far ( It is known to be one of the largest living organisms, where scientists have estimated a single specimen found in Malheur National Forest in Oregon to have been growing for some 2,400 years, covering 3.4 square miles [ http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Armillaria_... ] ); ---> Some species of Armillaria are bioluminescent and may be responsible for the phenomena known as foxfire and perhaps will o' the wisp ( i had tried it myself but without luck- my spotting wasn't lighting, maybe the maclight not good enough or the conditions of the fungus weren't right).
