Description:

This is a sub-species of the Five-spotted Lady Beetle (Hippodamia quinquesignata). The species is confined to the west coast, west of the Sierra / Cascade mountains. This is the second ladybug of this species that I have spotted in this location.

Habitat:

Aquatic Park, Berkeley, CA dandelion plant.
