Araneus gemmoides Chamberlin
Female Cat Face Spiders are larger than Male Cat Spiders. Females can be as large as six millimeters long and 5 millimeters wide, males however are much smaller only about half the size of a female! They variate very much so in color, size and shape. Many other Orbweaver spiders relate to them in a way of area, such as California where they like to knit there webs on vegetation. They do have many predators, from avarious insects and the biggest threat is the black and yellow mud dauber, which catches spiders and paralyzes them! They eat many smaller insects including flying ones, since later in the season they more often seen near proch lights and just outside windows where they mainly catch flying insects since they're high up. A cool fact is when they hatch they feed on there brothers and sisters so few make it to adulthood!
Cat face spiders like to live nar light sources, also preferably the corners of there concentric design, with spiraling sticky coils.
