Leaf-tailed Gecko

Uroplatus fimbriatus

Description:

large nocturnal gecko, up to 33cm (1.1'), rests during the day against a tree with its head down

Habitat:

rainforests on the east coast

Notes:

I spotted this leaf-tailed gecko on the island of Nosy Mangabe. My guide was excellent at spotting chameleons day and night. I couldn't believe how skilled he was sometimes.

Thanks everyone. @asergio, the credit must go to my guide for spotting this one. If you think this is great camo, you must check out this spotting.
