Amanita muscaria (formosa)
A beautiful golden orange mushroom in the sun. Pretty but very poisonous.
Hickory Run State Park, Lake Harmony, Kidder, PA hiking trail, heavily wooded. This part was in the sun.

I love this one. It was so shiny and beautiful in the sun. Thanks so much!
Amanita muscaria is a reasonable guess. The "warts" here are a darker and thinner than most, but A. muscaria (and pantherina) vary quite a bit. Had a pantherina on display last week (identified by experts) that was quite light yellow, but I agree that muscaria varies so widely in ranging from yellow to deep red that this would fit.
I really think with your help it is a type of Amanita muscaria mushroom (Agaric). They have some examples of light gold, yellow, oranges and reds.
Still looking for my mushroom photos. I misplaced them. (I had to download this from my facebook photos) And thank you so much for all your help.
Really? I've never seen an Orange/Gold pantherina. Usually all browns, from Tan to almost Black.
looks more like an Amanita to me, maybe Amanita pantherina.
looks like an Agaric. Did you get any other pics from a different angle?
Mario and Luigi's favorite mushroom. LOL
