Habitat:

In subtropical and tropical areas in both hemispheres, they thrive on coastlines in brackish water and in swampy salt marshes.

Notes:

A lone pioneer further out than the other mangroves has established a roothold on the fossilized reef found here off of Bear Cut Preserve.
