Black Swallowtail Butterfly (Caterpillar)

Description:

Originally, I thought this was a Monarch Butterfly caterpillar but now realize that it is more likely a Black Swallowtail Butterfly caterpillar (very similar markings). It was eating quite a salad of parsley from the garden so I'm glad it still turns into a friendly pollinator!
