I've some very fond memories driving down the Highways around Anza Borrego ~ a gorgeous desert area between the Salton Sea and San Diego.
When Ocatillo is in bloom in Anza Borrego there are miles and miles of Reeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeed, so intense... fun driving in this rather remote area. Camped there many times!
And i miss it too.
