Yes I agree...the scales are vivid....it looks more like a month.

Nice spotting Raksha. I think this is a moth because, in the second picture the reflection of the scales shows.This caught my attention because of it's smiling face, as a defense mechanisim.

I too thought it was a moth. But after reading Joseph CHIEF REDEARTH's suggestion I think it could be a hopper.

I would have guessed some moth.. but no obvious gadgets up front. Fascinating.
