As long as you note that it is captive, preserved, whatever - the picture belongs here. The more you document, the more it helps. I had no idea that the Wolverine State no longer had wolverines in it.
I agree with BrandonBlount Wolverines are impressive animals. Check out this documentary on Wolverines. Hopefully you can view it where you live online here: http://video.pbs.org/video/1642358743/
This is actually a great spotting and a great venue for it. It shows how native species that once flourished prior colonization of the regions have now diminished and or disappeared completely. A great lesson that could give a lot of other insight on how to coexist with nature instead of wiping it out to make room for human expansion. :-) Thank you for sharing this, I had no idea that Wolverines were no longer living in MI!
She was alive at one time. Thats whay I posted the website (FYI it shows live pictures of her on the site). She was the last known wolverine here in MI. And she now resides at the Bay City State Rec Center for everyone to see.

That documentary is a good one. Thanks Courtney, I didn't know PBS posted the tv programs online. I knew a lot about them from writing a college paper.
Thank you! I have worked for the DNR so I get to see some cool stuff every day. Most times I don't have a camera though to take pictures.
