Carol, I think I have mislead you! Searching for something else I've discovered this is actually a variegated fritillary not a common buckeye!

Another mystery solved. I should have known! Mine looks just like this too. Thanks again! I saw an active Common Buckeye butterfly today due to the mild weather.
