Vulpes vulpes
A large fox with pointed ears. Usually reddish-orange with white belly and throat, black legs and feet with a distinctive white tip on tail. They are nocturnal opportunistic predators.
Found throughout most of Canada and United States. Forests, thickets, brushy fields agricultural areas and some have adapted to urban life as well.
Very shy animals.
