Its just in a retention pond & a small lake here in Brandon Florida.Theyre everywhere around here. I've also seen them in tht Hillsborough River. I think as widespread as Ive spotted them...Theyre here to stay.

Probably why they call it a suckermouth catfish. Could you give a little more info about where you arecatching these guys. The type of lake or water; is it private or public land? They are nice aquarium fish but can be devastating pond dwellers.
