Mica-cap Mushroom

Coprinellus micaceus

Habitat:

Common and widespread species that grows in large clusters around hardwood stumps, buried roots, etc in spring and fall in the Pacific Northwest.

Notes:

Supposed to be a good edible species. I love the way they glisten in the filtered sunlight.
