Ophion luteus
Hi hmtrevi, this is a beautiful wasp! However, I think this may actually be a species of Paper Wasp, Genus Polistes:http://bugguide.net/node/view/572Ophion luteus is a type of Ichneumon Wasp that has very long legs and antennae as well as a different body shape and coloration. From what I have read, Ophion luteus doesn't occur in the Americas. I think it is a European species. Here are a couple of images of that species:http://www.flickr.com/photos/55172280@N0...http://commons.wikimedia.org/wiki/File:O...http://www.arkive.org/ichneumon-wasp/oph...
