Description:

Black, (20-35 mm) (0.8 - 1.4 in.) This one was about 1 inch. Species It is so similar to the Great Black Wasp (Sphex pencylvanicus) but the antennae is different.

This is an ichneumon wasp in the subfamily Ichneumoninae.

This is definitely a wasp. Not sure what family, but hopefully some of our bug experts can get you an ID.

It looks so similar to a Black Corsair Assassin bug, but the HEAD "bugs" me! What is this strange 1 inch insect? HELP! Thank you so much!
