Tortoise Shell Beetle

Description:

A gold and red Tortoise Shell Leaf Beetle that mimics a Ladybug. When flying it looks red, and depending on the angle of light it looks either red or gold. About 5 mm in length. Very active, flying frequently. Family Chrysomelidae.

Habitat:

Heavy Shrubbery along the Highway.
