i think he has an yellow apple, behind him laying also 2 and on his right: a pear, and to his left: ?? . I liked his expression and thought immediately at yours from the profile-pic. Most (not all) animals don't mind it so much aslong as there is food !! rule of life for all organism !! :)
--- mushrooms are always on the run ! most of the time we found the old specimen and then we look/search closer to find some, moments of these amazing little wonders !!

yes, this was an amazing, quickly passing moment in the life of a fruiting mushroom. Its cup was so perfect. As to the raccoon, it's always amazing to see a wild animal that is so completely familiar to me as the raccoon in a zoo across the world. Good choice, though--they wouldn't mind it so much, as long as they were well fed, and they are quite personable with people. I'm not sure about the zoo's choice of fruit. Plums would have been better, I suspect. It looks like a lemon he's got.
