Blue-faced Honeyeater (juvenile)

Description:

This is a juvenile Blue-faced Honeyeater which is easily distinguished from the adults by the olive-green facial skin. "The crown, face and neck are black, with a narrow white band across the back of the neck. The upperparts and wings are a golden olive green, and the underparts are white, with a grey-black throat and upper breast." (Birdlife Australia: http://www.birdlife.org.au/bird-profile/... )

Habitat:

Drinking water from the roof over the park seats in Nanango.

Notes:

This youngster was also spotted with an adult beside it.
