Arun, you might be right. It looks almost exactly like the one in this picture:

I'll consider the case solved, then. Thanks =)
Might be Showy Rattlepod (Crotalaria spectabilis) ..
Yep, it's a huge family. You're right, this is in Faboideae or as it's called these days (since the family name changed from Leguminosae to Fabaceae) Papilionoidae. If I can find my notes from the trip, it might turn out to be the same thing I saw.....but I think they're in a storage unit at the mo. :(
Sorry, false info. That pea pod was from a mimosa...
That is one *large* family! @_@ It has 3 subfamilies:
1) Mimosoideae
2) Caesalpinioideae
3) Faboideae
After going through some of them, I think the plant falls under Faboideae. Found some similarities with Trigonella sp. and Adenocarpus sp., but there's no telling for sure from the limited info on Wikiepdia. Bummer =/ Actually, the plant has something like a pea pod. Let me upload a pic...
It's Fabaceae. Reminds me of a common invasive weed I saw in the Cameron Highlands......some days my memory is just a memory!
