This is a member of the Skink family (Scincidae). As there are in the vicinity of 150 species in Australia it is difficult to be more precise. Probably a memmber of the genus Egernia.
You may like to add this to to our newest mission for reptiles of SE Australia. Someone there may know the name of this handsome chap.
