Variegated Fritillary Chrysalis

Euptoieta claudia

Description:

An empty Chrysalis. The fall has come. The Signs of Wildlife that was once here. I didn't see the caterpillar, I watched the chrysalis turn white to red and now empty. I would have loved to have observed a new life emerge and fly over the blue skies of my lush meadow.

Notes:

I had the pleasure of spotting two of these chrysalises. Check my other set, caterpillar - chrysalis transformation.
