I looked into it and it is some kind of foliage from the tree, and it turns out it's technically not even a pine tree! go figure!

i think it may be a deformation of a branch from the pine tree. it surely did fall off the pine tree!

Don't know which kind of plant it is, but it surely isn't a Pine cone, for two reasons:

1) It doesn't have a conical form
2) It isn't woody, all Pinnaceae cones are always woody cones.
