Hi Marta, It does look similar and I have a lot of C. micaceus in other parts of the property. I wish I was better at fungi!

Thanks Alex! We have P. echiniceps that seems to resemble it a bit. is a great website for the fungi here in Cali but I'm still horrible at ID'ing them :)
