Description:

Slender perennial grass in the family Poaceae, native to Eurasia. Quaking grasses are so named for the spikelets of open flower clusters and dry seedheads, borne on long stalks, that quiver in even slight breezes.

Habitat:

Hillside meadow in a protected area.
