Description:

A parasitic plant that grows mostly in pine forests & lives on a fungus that is present around pine roots. They can grow to about 4 ft. tall. These photos are of their fall presentation.

Habitat:

Pine & mixed conifer forests

Notes:

These are very prevalent in Central Oregon's pine forests.
