Wood boring Insect

Description:

There are so many signs of life in this area that it is overwhelming. This photo represents one of them. Since I joined the signs of wildlife mission I thought I would show some. There are two neat piles of wood dust resting underneath this log. This won't win any photo contests but shows there is some kind of wood boring beetle or insect going to town and loving life!

Habitat:

Tropical dry forest in NW Costa Rica, end of rainy season
