Therates coracinus
The Tiger Beetles (subfamily Cicindelinae) are a large group of beetles known for their aggressive predatory habits and running speed. Therates coracinus Erichson 1834, a Tiger Beetle, represents a Philippine endemic, the Philippine counterpart of the more widespread Therates labiatus Fabricius 1801, which is known to occur from Sulawesi eastwards to Moluccas, New Guinea and the Solomon Islands.
