Description:

Easy to catch in Rivers in SA to Europea Carps numbers have spiralled out of control. They clog up the water systems, feed from the bottom and stir up the mud making it very hard for native fish to survive. There is a no-throwback law in SA which means , once caught the fish are not to be returned to the river.

Habitat:

Introduced to many waterways.
