Emperor Gum Moth

Description:

A large showy Saturnidae moth with conspicuous ocelli on each wing. Eggs, larvae and pupa illustrate each stage of its life cycle.

Habitat:

Larvae feed in young eucalyptus leaves.

Notes:

This is a captive bred sequence.

Thank you. I am breeding these. The image is of a male, narrower wings and feathered antennae. Males will detect the presence of females from great distances
