Nice research Alex those pics on maple are not mine. The eggs look the same but not reliable to ID a species on it's eggs alone. Mine are from Australia. My turn to do some research when I get some time:)

I had research a litlle bit and wanted to let you also know about the infos i found, but i suspect you allready know the most references,pictures i found: i saw your picture some times on different site. Found one egg. Slug and an egg. These egg photos are so clear! Amazing find! In the spring I will be looking under every leaf. HA! They look like little pearls!

That is correct. Those five didn't hatch and one of those is clearly broken.
