A worldwide community photographing and learning about wildlife
Buteo lineatus
North American native, this guy was spotted in New Port Richey, in a residential community. I kept noticing her flying low around the houses there, so I made it a point to note her favorite tree. By the third day, she was used to my presence photographing the Sandhill Crane babies, so I was able to finally get in a few good shots of her. The inflight shot being my favorite.

Great capture! Their feather pattern is fantastic! We don't get these guys here in CO. I'd love you to add this to the mission Raptors of North America: http://www.projectnoah.org/missions/8627...
