Inky Cap

Shaggy Mane - Inky Cap - Coprinus comatus

Description:

I found black liquid on top of this mushroom cap. I wrote PN for Project Noah with it. i have to do more research to see if the ink from mushrooms was possibly used in Fountain pens for writing. The pictures show how the mushroom originally started out . The end was a rolled up cap with a slender stem. It took about 2 days to turn from picture number5 t0 picture number 3

Habitat:

Under a tree.

thanks.
Did you check to see what happened to the mushroom you spotted?
It probably ended up in this same way.
