Green Stink Bug Molting

Chinavia hilaris

Description:

Family: Pentatomidae. Subfamily: Pentatominae. Tribe: Pentatomini. Length: 13-18 mm. Green with narrow yellow edges with pink and green stripe antennae. Exoskeleton is black. Large stink glands underneath thorax as a defense. Adult food: Developing seeds of various crops and can be a pest to vegetation.

Habitat:

Meadow with abundant weeds and plants

Notes:

See video, but it is a bit long. I think it was a real struggle for the bug to get out of its old exoskeleton.
