Human Bot Fly

Dermatobia hominis

Description:

Ok so not what you usually see on here. This bot fly larva was living on my side. Although it's disgusting, it's a part of the great biodiversity we have on this planet!

Habitat:

Central and South America

Notes:

Try not to get one!

I have seen this plenty in both humans and dogs here in Costa Rica. Nice Job preserving that speciman for us....in your body!
