Description:

Large moth about 70mm wingspan , family could be a lasiocampidae but anyone's guess. Quite similar to another members ID Syllectra erycata but he found that in Puerto Rica !!!

Habitat:

This also came to light in the garden of the hotel in Andasibe, where there is a tropical rainforest 30 metres away.
