Jack in the Pulpit

Arisaema triphyllum

Description:

Habitat:

Spotted in a damp, woodland habitat.

Notes:

This plant has a strong, unpleasant taste, which causes a burning reaction if eaten raw. However, Native Americans gathered the corms for food.
