Description:

An unidentified cicada from either Cicadidae or Tibicinidae. The specimen was near death.

Habitat:

Observed on the outside wall of a house, surrounded by a large semi-urban yard & garden, near to a disturbed patch of remnant lowland forest, in the equatorial tropics of northern New Guinea.
