Thanks Nichole! Yeah there were two snakes, one is smaller and darker. Definitely makes me look up more often when I'm hiking in the woods!

I love northern water snakes! So beautiful. This one is very big! Lol. Great length. Neat picture on the tree spotting too, especially pine, the snake being in it I mean, and so high! It almost looks like there it two snakes there? Great spotting!

Thanks! At least 4ft I think. The was about 8ft but it was on a really steep slope that went into a big pond.
