Lemur catta
The ring-tailed lemur (Lemur catta) is a large strepsirrhine primate and the most recognized lemur due to its long, black and white ringed tail. It belongs to Lemuridae, one of five lemur families. It is the only member of the Lemur genus.
Endemic to southern and southwestern Madagascar, the ring-tailed lemur ranges further into highland areas than other lemurs. It inhabits deciduous forests, dry scrub, montane humid forests, and gallery forests (forests along riverbanks).
This Lemur can be found in a park of conservation of primate species in Tenerife called Monkey Park.

Hi MichelleBarros, and welcome to Project Noah. Can you please indicate where these animals were spotted and whether they were captive? The indicated location is not part of their normal habitat.
