Manta ray feeding on plankton, the latter attracted by underwater lights.

Habitat:

Near shore tropical waters; coral reef ecosystem.

Notes:

Spotted on night dive about 35 feet deep off of Kailua-Kona. Original medium Ektachrome slide film taken with Nikonos V using flash; film subsequently scanned and image saved as digital file.
