Ganoderma lucidum
10 cm long. Hard and solid. The two pictures are from both sides. Circular to kidney-shaped cap. Upper surface reddish-brown, knobbly, and hard with a brilliant glaze. Margin yellow-orange in young specimens. Underside white, turning brown. Shinny stipe lateral or excentric, vertical, fairly twisted darker than the cap. Flesh elastic but coriaceous. Not edible
Found it on the ground in a pine-tree and Holm oak forest. Probably fallen from a tree. I could find no more on the close-by trees. It generally grows on stumps and dead trucks. Summer and fall. Uncommon

Thanks CorduneanuVlad, you are completely right. I was deceived by the
bad colours of my field guide. The description however fits perfectly with
Ganoderma lucidum.
I have suggested this type of mushroom because it's the only one that grows on wood and has a stem. The specimen you photographed is a young one.
