Shield bug

Pachycoris klugii

Description:

I had seen these spotted shield bugs alone but when I saw them all together I realized the green were nymphs and the black with red spots were the adults. Parental care?

Habitat:

Shrubs in subtropical forest.

True, Luis. I've seen up to 4 different instars at the same time and place. I guess it is related to the amount of food they get.

I agree Sergio, it seem the time for maturity of each one is different.

In this case, Luis, I think that one of the nymphs reached maturity before the other ones.
