Cardinal (female)

Cardinalis cardinalis

This young female cardinal shows some of the subdued red tones of her male counterpart as well as red seed-breaking beak. She hit the back window pretty hard, but I was able to revive her/let her rest in the basket until she was was ready to fly again. She suffered no lingering trauma that I'm aware of and was spotted at the feeder several times after her recovery.
