Eudynamys scolopaceus


The male and the female look very different. The male is a jet black...well, blue-black with ruby eyes. the female looks more sparrow-hawkish and is speckled.


My terrace. Usually two males battle it out...the one here is the older male. The female drives away the bird that is feeding and is quite aggressive (as you can see in the video...she captures the entire fruit) but never approaches if I am she made an exception.
